Sate of Decay - awesome open world zombie game. 🖱️⌨️

State of Decay (REVIEW)

After playing lots of Left 4 Dead 2, which is an FPS zombie game, I decided to expand my taste for zombie games and found State of Decay: an open-world third person survival game.
Yes, I said open-world. Grand Theft Auto style (speaking of grand theft, you can drive vehicles in the game and run over zombies. Now that's fun.)

It's available on Xbox 360 (but no one gives a fuck, only filthy console peasants) on PC since early November on Steam.

I got it through that-site-you-know-but-I-mustn't-speak-about and it's pretty awesome. We can basically sum it up as a GTA with zombies.

You might be thinking: sounds nice but I bet my crappy PC won't even run it. Don't worry! I thought that too (need new PC...) but I can run the game nicely on any spec settings! See the minimum specs below.

Features

    State of Decay - surveying
  • 2 hour day and night cycle: 1 hour of daylight and 1 hour of night.
  • Skill progression system: for example, a skill like fighting can be improved through combat with melee weapons (baseball bat, machete, pipe, etc.).
  • Play as a community struggling to survive. If your community has more than one person, you will switch to another community member when you die.
  • Recruit survivors with unique sets of skills (gardener, mechanic, chef, soldier, etc.).
  • Variety of zombies: slow moving, fast-moving, and special types.
  • Randomly generated missions such as rescuing a survivor, scavenging, zombie hunts or infestation clearing.
  • Randomly generated items in buildings that can be searched for. Once an item is taken from a location there will never be a re-spawn of additional items.
  • A wide selection of ground vehicles to drive.
  • The ability to claim certain buildings with a defensible perimeter (fence, wall, etc.) as a home base and creating outposts.
  • Home sites can be upgraded through the use of interior and exterior facilities (Workshops, Garden, Watchtower, Dojo, Kitchen, etc.).

This Fire Burns

Just to make sure this blog doesn't go more dead than its owner, I'm reviving with this - something you'd probably never expect here to post - non-hard dance music. Well there it is. Since I'm a wrestling fan for like 10 years or so, why the fuck not?

Unreal Software In A Nutshell II

Welcome to the second edition of...
Unreal Software In A Nutshell
Unlike the previous one, I'm not going to link various occurences that happened in the community, because someone sent me on my Ask.fm a comic strip that described Unreal Software so perfectly, I decided to make an "Unreal Software In A Nutshell" post just for it.

Genius admins here

(You mofos missed posts about Unreal Software, didn't you?)
What's really funny is that he posted that in November 2012 and edited the post the next year to comment on the rule violation. Priceless.

Derb

I'll take a break from hardstyle and share with you guys a classic hardtrance track... made by Derb and it's called Derb. Yeah. I first listened to this track live at DJ Luna's Hard Bass 2012 set.
Well, some background info. Derb is a hardtrance duo that consists of Kai Winter & Boris Hafner and they are mostly known for their 2001 release of the same name, Derb. Some may argue if it's hardtrance or not, but in the end no one gives a fuck when dat Derb melody kicks in. It is divided in two mixes (versions), Derbus and Dernimbus. Both have roughly the same length and are similar, but what matters is they have that melody... that's so addictive (in Dernibums it comes at about 4 minutes and at Derbus at 3 minutes)..

True electronic dance music lovers have to listen to this at least once in their life.

Ask me

There's this cancerous social network lookalike called Ask.fm that recently got pretty popular here in Portugal and other countries, so I thought: "why not join the cancer"? Well, there I am. Ask me stuff because I'm bored and feel like answering shit. I make video replies. You don't need to be registered

LSD (Love, Sadness & Desire)

Loved this since the first I heard for the fat ass kick with bass and amazing delicate melody.
I searched for it but could only find LQ rips with 4 minutes, but after some searching I found and downloaded  the M!D!FY Sampler 001 (I also have 002, 003, 004 and 004), which has this song in it.
It took me a few tries on dead links to find the lucky download link that was working.
Now I've decided to share with you LSD (Love, Sadness & Desire), by Brennan Heart, an artist I didn't always admire because of the cheesiness and mainstream crap he brought to hardstyle, but damn back in 2010 he struck gold with this one.
So here it is, for your listening pleasure and also for download, the full 6 minute version in high quality (press "SD" on the top right of the player to switch to "HD"), with intro and outro.

Dat melody at 2 minutes. <3 Grab it before it's removed!

Download not working or you want the full Album Samplers (001-005)? Then comment!
